Carter made a major statement wearing a crown that had the Hebrew words לעולם אל תשכחי embossed on the front. In English, the Hebrew “leolam al tishcechi” means “Never Forget” in the future-female tense.

Her dress was by Jewish designer Zac Posen, her clutch by Holocaust survivor and handbag designer Judith Leiber.
