So I’m confused on this whole satanic temple suing Warner Bros and Netflix over the statue depicted in CAOS. Apparently they’re claiming copyright of the statue and the pictures do look extremely similar but it just seems so weird to me that an organization who doesn’t actually believe in the devil and uses the baphomet image as a symbol or mascot more or less to sue over it. It’s not like they created the image that the statue references and it’s not like they can claim copyright on an image they didn’t create and that predates their own organization by centuries. Also, if the satanic temple is so up in arms over this why aren’t they suing AHS for depicting their church as ACTUAL murderers and supporters of the apocalypse as a death cult. Even though actual satanists are obviously not like this at all. It just seems silly to me and if anyone would like to put their two cents in I wouldn’t mind a discussion.
