Two of the worlds youngest murderers were just ten years old at the time of their crime in 1993. Jon Venables and Robert Thompson abducted two and a half year old James Bulger from a shopping center in Liverpool, England. His mother was distracted for just a second and Jon and Robert lured her son away, simply by taking his hand and leading him away. While walking through town with the two year old, the ten year old boys were spotted by over thirty people, but no one questioned it, even when the young boy was crying, assuming he was the younger brother of the two boys. Once they reached the crime scene, they threw modeling paint that they had stolen earlier in the day in the little boy’s eye, and he was beaten with the other boys fists and other objects they had stolen from the shopping center. James suffered from forty two skull fractures, one being from a twenty-two pound iron bar. The two boys then left James’ body on the railroad track, hoping to make it look like an accident, After his murderers were gone, James’ body was cut in half after being run over by a train, but he was dead long before that.
